ITALIAN ARTIST Plitvice Lakes in watercolor tehnique

A MOMENT FOREVER PRESERVED

We all know (and love) that quote “Earth without art is just – eh”. Why? Because it`s true. Art is an expression of our thoughts, emotions, intuitions, and desires, but it is even more personal than that – it’s about sharing the way we experience the world, which for many is an extension of personality.  Art is a way of grasping the world!

Needless to say, Plitvice are, and always will be, a great inspiration for many artists from around the world.

One of them was Giuseppina Fontana, Italian painter that captured her Plitvice experience in watercolour technique.

“I was fascinated by the winter atmosphere and the contrast between the power of the waterfalls and the delicacy of nature. I still remember the sound of the waterfalls and their power, I felt I was one. But in the paintings, I tried to portray the balance of ice and water, to recreate a fairytale environment through the use of soft and imaginative colours. I love being in nature, but I rarely encounter such fascinating and regenerating places.”

Here are Plitvice Lakes through her imagination…
