The Tourism Ministry has announced a call for the allocation of grants for the development of public tourist infrastructure in 2020, and the amount set aside for that purpose is 25 million kuna.
The deadline for applying for the grants expires on May 1.
The funds can be allocated to units of local government to co-fund the improvement of public bathing facilities, construction and/or rebuilding of visitors’ centres and other forms of public tourist infrastructure.
Grants for public beaches range between 200,000 and one million kuna.
The ministry says that it will continue co-funding the construction of new and the upgrade of the existing cycling facilities and trekking routes, as well as procure equipment for the upgrade of viewpoints along cycling paths.
