Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, commonly known as HNK, did something amazing. 🥰 During the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, in collaboration with the daily newspaper 24sata, HNK allow citizens to access quality cultural content through a YouTube channel, which features daily performances from the branches of opera, ballet and drama. The viewers are able to watch some of the most popular performances of the Theater. 😍

The instrument is sea organ. 🌊The device was made by the architect Nikola Basic as part of the project to redesign the new city coast. The waves interact with the organ and create somewhat random but harmonic sounds. 😏Are you interested to see what does it look like? 🥰P.S. This is the view from the edge of the sea organ. Alfred Hitchcock said it's the most beautiful sunset in the world.

Interesting fact about Marija Juric Zagorka, Croatian journalist: Zagorka's property was inherited by a person who did not respect her last wish of turning her apartment in Dolac to memorial center. In 2009, City of Zagreb bought the apartment from heirs and turned it into a Memorial apartment of Marija Jurić Zagorka - operated by the educational NGO Centre for Women's Studies Zagreb - in which visitors can learn more about Zagorka and other influential women in the fields of culture, politics, science, and human rights. Every year, at the end of November, the Center organizes a cultural and scientific event entitled Days of Marija Jurić Zagorka. Every third Thursday of the month, the Center organizes public lectures on Zagorka and women's literature.
