The British daily newspapers The Mirror and The Independent have run articles about Croatia as a desirable and attractive destination for digital nomads, the Croatian National Tourism Board (HTZ) reported on Thursday.

The head of the HTZ office in the U.K., Daria Reić, was quoted as saying that Croatia’s gastronomy, climate and scenery would inspire British digital nomads to explore the country.

The Independent says that Croatia encourages digital nomads to move there.

The aim of the “Croatia, your new office!” campaign is “to position Croatia as an attractive destination for digital nomads, with the primary target markets including the UK, US and Canada,” says the newspaper.

“Croatia is one of the first members of the European Union to launch special one-year temporary stays for remote workers,” it adds.

The Mirror reports that “Croatia has a new visa for remote workers and is inviting Brits to come and stay for up to a year to enjoy its cities, beaches and national parks.”
