Croatia Airlines will directly connect Osijek with Munich

SINCE MID-NOVEMBER

From mid-November, the Croatian national airline Croatia Airlines will directly connect Osijek with Munich. The initiative for direct international flights on the Osijek-Munich route was launched by the Osijek-Baranja County, the City of Osijek, the Osijek-Baranja County Tourist Board and Osijek Airport, hrturizam.hr reports.

Croatia Airlines and Osijek Airport have concluded an agreement on business cooperation and insurance of direct international flights on that route. Regular international flights on this route are introduced for the first time in the history of Croatia Airlines, and for now they have been agreed for the period from November 15, 2021 to January 14, 2022. It will operate the Dash 8-Q400 aircraft, which has a capacity of 76 seats.

“This is the first time that Croatia Airlines introduces an international flight from Osijek Airport and thus enables the inhabitants of Slavonia to connect with the whole world because it is possible to fly to all continents via Munich. I believe that direct flights Osijek-Munich will contribute to the development of tourist and economic potentials of Osijek-Baranja County and the city of Osijek, and at the same time strengthen the business of Osijek Airport, making it an even more important traffic point. “, said the President of the Management Board of Croatia Airlines Jasmin Bajić and expressed hope that the project will become a year-round.

“I believe that achieving cooperation with Croatia Airlines is the first step in a series of flights that we will have in the future. We are already thinking about other destinations, and this destination is the beginning for us. We chose Munich because it is a large center that further connects flights to other European destinations such as Amsterdam, Paris and London, so our citizens will have connections with the whole of Europe. “, said the director of Osijek Airport, Ivan Kos.
