Croatian comunity in Argentina presented Easter eggs in Mendoza

CROATIAN EASTER EGGS DISPLAYED IN MENDOZA ARE EXTRAORDINARY MOMENT TO SHARE OUTDOORS

The Croatian Community establishes this unprecedented custom in Argentinian province during Holy Week, organized in conjunction with the Municipality of the City of Mendoza and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture with the support of institutions and companies, reports Nenroll.

The ancient tradition of displaying giant Easter eggs in public spaces, painted by artists with allegorical motifs, arrived in Mendoza this Holy Week. An extraordinary moment to share outdoors with the family.

Traditionally, during Easter in Croatia, squares, parks and public spaces are adorned with a wide variety of giant painted eggs, enhancing the tourist appeal of the place.

The works participate in a contest with a jury made up of renowned artists, representatives of the Croatian Community, the National University of Cuyo, the Municipality of the City of Mendoza, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture. The first three places will receive a cash prize.

The event seeks to be declared of tourist and cultural interest for the Province by the Legislature and the Deliberative Council of the City.

This event is part of the previous cultural activities: the Croatian Week in Mendoza from April 27 to 30, organized by the National University of Cuyo, the Croatian Embassy in Argentina and Paraguay, the Croatian Association in Mendoza Hrvatski Dom with the support of the Government of Mendoza.
