Croatian Tourist Board organizes water distribution for tourists at border crossings

HEAT IS UNBEARABLE AND QUEUES ARE GETTING LONGER AS THE MID-SUMMER ARRIVES

The Croatian Tourist Board is organizing an action to distribute water and promotional material at the Rupa, Bregana, Macelj and Plovanija border crossings this year, right in the middle of the tourist season, reports htz.hr.

This year, the distribution of branded spring water starts on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 8:30 a.m., and at 10:00 a.m., the director of the Croatian Tourist Board, Kristjan, will join the campaign at the Plovanija border crossing (Istria, border crossing with Slovenia). Staničić, director of the Tourist Office of the Istrian County Denis Ivošević, representatives of the tourist boards of the towns of Umag and Buje and several employees of the Tourist Office of the Istrian County.

The goal of this traditional campaign is to position Croatia as a country of kind and good hosts, but also symbolically, due to the high heat, to make it easier for tourists to wait at border crossings and to thank them for choosing Croatian destinations for their ideal vacation.
