Eurovision winners Kalush Orchestra will perform in Croatia

The winners of the Eurovision Song Contest, the Ukrainian rap group KALUSH Orchestra are the new headliners of the Sea Star Festival in Umag in the Stella Maris lagoon, reports muzika.hr.

The festival will take place on May 27th and 28th, where Kalush orchestra will have their first performance after the Eurovision Song Contest.

The Ukrainian KALUSH Orchestra conquered the world with a recent victory in the Eurovision final with the song “Stefania“, which Oleh Psiuk, rapper and frontman of the band, dedicated to his mother. It is a huge triumph of the group and the song that has gained a new, broader meaning in the past months in love for the homeland. 

KALUSH is also watched with special attention in Ukraine because, with the permission of the government there, they dedicated a promotional tour to the fight to end the conflict peacefully and help refugees, while Psiuk himself is a volunteer in the humanitarian organization De ty (Where Are You?).

KALUSH were founded in 2019 as a hip hop trio, but with the expansion of the number of members they quickly changed their name to KALUSH Orchestra. Specific in the mix of rap with traditional Ukrainian melodies, the group has been creative and active so far, releasing two albums and 26 singles.
