Ingredients

750 ml of red wine
150 g of sugar
150 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
Lemon sugar (or lemon zest)
orange peel
1 pc star anise
ground ginger on the tip of a knife
1 cinnamon stick
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
5 whole cloves

Preparation

1. Put sugar, spices, lemon and orange peels in a saucepan and pour wine, just enough so that the wine covers the sugar. Cook over low heat until the sugar dissolves and the mass becomes thick and sticky.
