In the pollen-free period, bees were fed preparations of sycamore, yarrow, dandelion, nettle and chicory (sycamore, fenugreek and turmeric seeds are added after honey extraction), so the active ingredients of these plants in a natural, organic way became an integral part of honey.
Sycamore seeds contain a complete silymarin complex (silymarin, silibinin, silidianin, silicristin) which acts on the recovery and protection of hepatocytes (liver cells).
Fenugreek seeds are rich in proteins with essential amino acids and a large amount of medicinal mucus.
Fenugreek mucus slows the excessive growth of glucose in the blood, reduces the metabolism of cholesterol and its deposition in the bile, eliminates excess cholesterol from the bile.
Turmeric contains curcumin and has a strong anti-inflammatory effect.
Honey is an ideal medium to which we add active principles of medicinal herbs.

Matičnjak sativa d.o.o. is a company that has been operating since 2013. The idea creator of our products is the well-known phytotherapist and apitherapist Ivo Bačlija, who has been dealing with medicinal herbs since 2006.
Most of our offer consists of products that we produce ourselves, we make small batches and our products are primarily characterized by the fact that they are always fresh and high quality.
The main part of our business is wholesale, we work with some retail chains in Croatia, we export to several Western European countries, and in Zagreb we have a counseling center where Ivo Bačlija provides phytotherapy counseling to our customers.

Countless scientific studies have proven to us that nature offers excellent solutions, we just need to know how to use them.
