SAS to operate flights to Split Airport only during September this year

SCHEDULE

SAS Scandinavian Airlines revised its schedule for the rest of summer flight schedule. The airline will operate towards just one airport in Croatia, Croatian Aviation reports.

In the second half of August, SAS Scandinavian Airlines suspended traffic on its seasonal routes to Pula and Dubrovnik, while scheduled flights to Split Airport were reduced in comparison with July and beginning of August when SAS operated daily flights to Split. This airport will be the only one in Croatia where Scandinavian Airlines will operate during the September and October this year.

Four routes are scheduled as below:

  • the Stockholm – Split – Stockholm route will operate twice a week during September, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while in October one flight is scheduled, on Saturdays, until 09OCT.,
  • the Copenhagen – Split – Copenhagen route will operate three times a week in September, on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays (additional flights on Mondays are available on 20. and 27. of September). In October, the company will reduce the number of rotations from week to week, route will stop operating on 23OCT.,
  • the Oslo – Split – Oslo route will operate three times a week in September, on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. In October, two flights a week were scheduled, on Saturdays and Sundays, and the last flight in this summer season will operate on Saturday, 09OCT.
  • the Gothenburg – Split – Gothenburg route operates until October 2nd, once a week, every Saturday.

On 106 planned operations in September and October (four mentioned routes), SAS will mainly use aircraft from the A320 family, and in the off-season to or from Split this airline offers more than 17,500 seats which is a far better result compared to last summer season when SAS ended its flight schedule to Croatia significantly earlier, due to bad epidemiological situation in Europe.
