While most facilities, from hotels to campsites, expect more mass arrivals from mid-June, the main season in marinas has long since begun. There is no available berths in many, and it seems that more and more wealthy sailors are coming to us, reports vijest.hrt.hr.

There is no available berth in the Pula marina. The owners of the largest ships have at least a three-member crew that they pay for all year round, and sail the Adriatic only in summer.

Boaters spend twice as much as the average guest. There are more and more wealthy tourists visiting.

“Every day we receive inquiries for much larger vessels. We used to have inquiries for ships of 15-16 meters, and now weekly, there are inquiries for over 25 meters.” – says Aleksandar Šuran, director of the Veruda marina, Pula.

In the marina in Rovinj – only the largest boats. Renovated three years ago, the latest technology and service standards have brought it a maximum of five anchors. It attracted many who used to go to other countries.

“We have filled all the capacities for annual berths. More berths are required, so we already have a waiting list.” – said Goran Bilic, director of ACI marina Rovinj.
