EVENT

The Vivodina Wine and Walk event in November will give wine lovers a chance to taste local wines in Croatia’s Karlovac County.

The unique event, completely dedicated to local eno-gastronomy, will be held on November 6 and 13 in the Vivodina region, which with its 26 villages and hamlets within Karlovac County, has long been known for growing vines.

As part of the event, participants will visit a total of 8 local wineries, while their walk through the Vivodina region will last as long as 7 hours on a route 9 kilometres long. In each winery, with the kind welcome of the hosts, selected wines will be tasted and the secrets of Vivodina winemaking will be revealed.

Each participant will receive their starter package, which includes a special glass that is worn around the neck all the time.

Renowned winemakers from the Vivodina region will offer visitors a whole range of wine flavours, which is why this event is unavoidable for all wine lovers and discovering new tourist potentials of continental Croatia.

Organisers expect once again that the event will attract visitors from all over Croatia who will get to know this wine-growing region through the combination of wine and recreation.

The route is carefully planned so that participants can enjoy the beautiful natural beauties of the Vivodina region, which is located within the Nature Park Žumberak – Samoborsko gorje, and it is planned to taste local, local food in wineries. There will be no shortage of fun either, and a number of surprises are planned throughout the route.

The number of participants is limited to 210 people per day who will move along the route in groups of 30, and the organisers say that everyone is invited and welcome to the happiest weekend of the year in Vivodina.
