According to the data of the Croatian National Bank (CNB), in the second quarter of 2022, the income of foreign tourists was 2 billion and 686 million euros. It represents a growth of 121% compared to the same period in 2021, reports hrt.hr.
Compared to the second quarter of 2019, the revenue was 364 million euros more. The revenue from foreign tourists in the second quarter of 2022 is 16% higher than in the same period of 2019.
“So far, the best first half of the tourist year, in which we achieved revenues from foreign tourists of 3 billion and 172 million euros. It is an excellent indicator of the strengthening of Croatia’s recognition as a tourist destination outside of the summer months, which is followed by the results of the postseason so far. This is another confirmation of all our strategic activities, which contribute to the development of sustainable and year-round tourism.” – said Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac about the results on tourism revenues.
Overall, in the first half of 2022, the income of foreign tourists amounted to 3 billion and 172 million euros, which represents a growth of 117% compared to the same period in 2021.
