Miss Universe contestants showed off their national costumes last night.
More than 80 girls from all over the world wore imaginative creations inspired by the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the countries they come from.
Our representative Andrea Erjavec walked the runway in a costume inspired by Lika-Senj county. The mini-dress on the chest was decorated with the motif of yellow flowers of the endemic Velebitian degenia plant, while two wide bands decorated with images of the county’s most famous landmarks descend from the sleeves in recognizable red and white squares. Millions of viewers watching the competition around the world had the opportunity to see the beauty of the Gacka River, Nehaj Fort in Senj, Pag Island, Velebit and Plitvice Lakes.
