We are counting down to the biggest cycling event in Croatia – the Adria Bike Marathon held in the Plitvice Lakes Municipality. This year, on 16 and 17 June, almost a thousand cyclists across all categories are coming to the Plitvice Lakes Municipality to participate in the 6th race, now traditionally supported by the Tourist Board of the Plitvice Lakes Municipality.
The organisers have been preparing for this for some time now, and they have planned and created completely new trails. There is still time to apply!
The biggest changes are on the Easy trail which has been completely redesigned. It is 35 km long with a total altitude increase of 650 meters, and it combines cycling on asphalt roads, forest trails and interesting singles. The Classic trail is now 56 km long with a total altitude increase of 1100 meters, which is both longer and higher than in previous years. The Epic trail is also bigger, now 70 km long with an altitude rise of 1650 meters.
Cycling enthusiasts recognise this area as an ideal destination for active tourism, and organised races such as the Plitvice Adria Bike Marathon contribute to this status.
Once again the third weekend in June in Korenica will be a true festival of cycling, which is a great reason to visit, and whoever wants to participate can click HERE.
