Jelena Panjković was born in 1978 in Zagreb, but she grew up in Lika (the area of Plitvice Lakes) and Bjelovar. She returned to Zagreb because of the School of Applied Arts and Design, where she graduated in 1997 from the Department of Metal Design.
In 1999 she moved to Perugia (central Italy), where, after graduating from Italian language school, she specialized in goldsmithing at the Futuro-Consorzio, and then in 2007 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts “Pietro Vannucci”, sculpture department, with a degree in history art and the topic of contemporary jewelry “Microsculpture to wear”, mentor Prof. Aldo Iori. After graduating from the academy, she worked in the Effem gioielli jewelry laboratory, but she also continued to work on visual contemporary art, so she had a number of solo and group exhibitions, participation in Italian and international competitions, often with positive outcomes, winning first and second prizes and three public sculptures in the vicinity of Perugia.
In 2018, she returned to Croatia, in Lika and not far from the National Plitvice Lakes Park, she opened a sales gallery of art and applied art Art gallery Rubedo. She continue to work on contemporary and unique silver jewelry called NARset.
Academic sculptor/visual artist, goldsmith and metal designer are three professions that intertwine over 25 years of her life and form one inseparable whole of her as an artist.
