“Over the clouds, higher and higher, you can almost reach the Sun! There! – I said. There you can see the Adriatic sea! And we watched it, with all those islands and sun rays reflecting of little fisherman’s boats! What a place, how lucky we are…
Sunset. Sunset on Velebit. No sound, just light breeze in the air.
That cosy and calm sky colours just took over the whole place. In the distance, we can see the new moon rising, thin as a nail.
And the moon decided to climb it too. To the top! – he said! And the stars decided to follow mr. Moon. And the whole universe united over Velebit peaks!
“Whoever in the future comes to walk on this beautiful and comfortable trail will hardly be able to imagine all the hard work and effort the first pioneers had to endure while walking through this difficult terrain with no trail whatsoever…” – dr. Ivan Krajač, Croatian mountaineer
