7th Avenue, a road on the west side of the New York Manhattan neighborhood, is often mentioned in movies, plays, and books.
One of the most famous parts of this 8.5 km long avenue is called Fashion Avenue. It is the center of the fashion industry and famous designers who made New York the world capital of fashion. Fashion Avenue is interrupted by Central Park, while north of Central Park the avenue runs in both directions through Harlem, which is called “Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard”. As is the case with 6th Avenue, New Yorkers continue to call it “7th Avenue.”
7th Avenue intersects with Broadway and 42nd Street in Times Square. Notable buildings include Alwyn Court, Carnegie Hall, Osborne and Rodin Studios, AXA Center, Madison Square Garden and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
