The Josephina is a historic road that begins in the city that lies on four rivers – Karlovac and connects it with Senj.
It crosses the Dinaric Alps via the Vratnik pass (700 metres above sea level) between Senj and Brinje.
When travelling to the coast from the continent, the first sight of the sea on this route is from Vratnik Pass.
Before descending to the coast at Senj, don’t forget to stop here for a while and admire the view of the islands of the northern Adriatic.
