Advent in Karlovac offers a variety of activities for all generations at numerous locations in the city, reports vecernji.hr.
During the Advent weekends, the Association of Tourist Guides “Bastion” and the Tourist Board of the City of Karlovac prepared specially designed Advent themed tours around Zvijezda. In an hour’s walk along the most famous sights of Karlovac’s core, visitors will learn how the city used to celebrate important days and holidays.
In addition to walking along Zvijezda, Advent rides on the Žitna lađa is also being prepared for visitors. In the atrium of the Old Town of Dubovec, an exhibition on the history of chocolate has been opened, along with must-have chocolate souvenirs. History lovers should mark December 18 in their calendars, when the Karlovac City Museum Open Day is celebrated with free entry and expert guides.
From December 16 until the New Year between 16:00 and 23:00 on the Karlovac Promenade, a rich family and evening program will take place, accompanied by appropriate catering and shopping offers. Fans of winter activities will be delighted by free skating at the City Rink near Sokolski dom, all from December 16 until December 31.
As part of the evening program of this year’s Advent in Karlovac at the Music Pavilion, numerous renowned musicians will perform; Damir Kedžo, Je Veux, Pavel, Nukleus, Klapa Cambi, TBF, Gospodari tambura, Nos Tress, Total Rock World, Flying Squad, Neno Belan, group Black&White, Stackshots, Pips Chips & Videoclips, Zdenka Kovačiček and Greenhouse Blues Band. The culmination of this excellent series will be on New Year’s Eve, along with the Magazin group’s New Year’s concert.
