Caves of Cerovack near Gračac, in the southern part of Velebit Nature Park, consist of three caves – Upper, Middle, and Lower Cerovack Cave. The caves are at different levels and connected with several shafts. They are truly one of the most beautiful caves of Croatia, while the Lower and Upper caves are open to the public.
Caves are famous for their palaeontological remains, including not only cave bears, but also cave lions, fossil brown bears, wild horses, red deer, chamois, and several other animals. There was also discovered a human bone, a right tibia. The average temperature in the caves is 11 ° C.
