1. Wonderful Barać Caves – the world down under
About six kilometers east of Rakovica, not far from the Zagreb-Split highway is the location of the mesmerizing Baracs Caves. In the village of Nova Kršlja is the entrance to the three caves, and they are especially attractive to tourists who are looking for a less crowded place. Important note – the temperature in the cave is only 9 ° C so bring some extra clothes.
2. Old Town Drežnik – a must see fortress
The defensive fortress “Drežnik Grad” was the capital of the former Drežnik County that was mentioned all the way in the 11th century! Unfortunately, Old TOwn Drežnik has been destroyed and renewed several times, and today at the initiative of the Rakovica municipality is restored. You can visit Drežnik every day during the summer months, so find more information on the Rakovica Tourist Board website.
3. Adrenaline zip line, cycling trails, quads, horses, deer…
If you are looking for some action, there is a great zip line located in Selište Drežničko. Just 3 kilometers from the Plitvice Lakes National Park, the 300-meter long zip line achieves speed of up to 70 kilometers per hour. An attractive view of the Korana River will leave you breathless, and in addition, quads are also located in Broćanac.
Bicycle paths in the area of Rakovica municipality are arranged and marked, so you can cycle through the whole area and visit interesting locations. In addition to adrenaline and sports activities, there are relaxation facilities such as horse riding, or sightseeing of the deer farm in the Plitvice valley.

Rakovica municipality is known for its highly developed family tourism, hotels, and restaurants with additional amenities such as swimming pools, sports opportunities, bicycle tours… But gastronomic specialties included in the restaurant’s menus will warm your heart and create delicious memories.
