Likaclub has made a European breakthrough: Lika app development has begun – The application will soon be ready to download!

Lika App, a revolutionary media application that will forever change the way you learn about Lika, is already well under construction. The soon-to-be-available application developed by the regional media Lika Club marks a big step forward in technological progress, the reputation and strength of this media, but also sets a standard for the business of related local media, especially in the area of the Lika region.

Lika App is the first Lika media application that brings significant changes not only to the local but also to the Croatian media scene, because it raises the technical bar very high. Given the rarity of regional media applications in our country, Lika App is a positive example of adapting to the needs of the market and enabling readers to gain easier access to information, even in areas where the media reach and concentration of quality media are significantly reduced.

The Lika App, whose simplicity will enable the fastest, easiest and most comprehensive monitoring of news from Lika and beyond, will soon be available for download, and its creators and the team behind the project are especially looking forward to it.

Through this application, we are preparing adaptation and better visibility of topics that are more actively followed in the Lika region, we are adjusting the editorial policy of the media itself, but we are also enabling all partners and associates even better visibility and advertising options that were not possible before. The team is working hard on everything, soon we will announce the first trainings on media literacy, and in parallel with that, the presentation of the application. – says Ante Fumić, Likaclub owner.

The creation of the application is a continuation of the successful business achievements of Lika Club, which we can freely call a small medium for big successes. Namely, last year Lika Club won the eu award. Web Awards 2022 as the best media in Europe with a .eu domain, while the Lika App application is being developed with the help of the Journalism Fund, which awarded Lika Club all the funds for its creation in an international competition. That the potential of this local media is recognized at the European level is best proven by the fact that, in addition to 17 projects, the Journalism Fund allocated the largest amount to the Lika app project.

As part of the project, team members will hold a series of lectures on media literacy in Zagreb and the Lika-Senj County, in order to bring citizens closer to how to get information and analyze news in the digital age. It is an important part of the project because media literacy in this area needs a significant boost and this project makes it possible.

The app download will be possible at the end of this year on Google Play and the Apple Store, when it will be presented to the public.
