The head of the Zagreb Tourism Board (TZGZ), Martina Bienenfeld, told a news conference on Tuesday that this year the event would be organised under the slogan “Advent in Zagreb – Feel the Light!” and would last until 1 January.
During the season, 10 different festivals of spiritual and ambient music will be organised, and there are plans to hold more than 70 concerts outdoors and in closed spaces in accordance with anti-COVID rules.
Announcing one of the projects for this season, Bienenfeld called on residents to illuminate and decorate their windows, thus participating in the “The light of Zagreb” project.
The programme also includes sightseeing of local churches and nativity scenes.
This year, there will be no ice rink in the centre of Zagreb due to rules imposed to curb the spread of coronavirus.
In the central Trg Bana Jelacica Square, 15 small houses will be set up where 23 small businesses will be selling souvenirs and products.
