Museums, art galleries, and cultural institutions across Croatia are getting ready for the 15th annual “Night of Museums” in Croatia traditionally held on the last Friday of January.
“Night of Museums” at the Nikola Tesla Memorial Center in Smiljan begins on Friday at 6 pm with an exhibition “Tesla in Society”.
Although known as a loner, many American and Croatian intellectuals left a mark in the life of a genius. Visitors will thus have the opportunity to meet Westinghouse, Edison, Twain, Johnson and Meštrović and learn more about their bond.
At 6:30 pm, author Tomislav Beronić will introduce visitors to Tesla’s coil and the transmission of wireless energy in the context of the sci-fi pentalogy of the Fifth Dimensions, while at 7:30 pm, a lecture “Nikola Tesla Memorial Center as a Cultural Tourism Destination” is scheduled.
At 6 pm, 8 pm and 9 pm, are organized guided tours that include getting to know more about Tesla’s childhood, as well as achievements throughout his life.
See you at Tesla`s house!
