The 5th edition of the festival dedicated to the strudel, ŠtrudlaFest, has got underway in the small Croatian town of Jaškovo, near Ozalj in the Karlovac County.
Thousands of strudels have already been eaten with visitors finding it hard to choose between the classic flavours like apple, cherry and cheese, and some exotic ones with beer, lamb, and carrots.
ŠtrudlaFest started on Friday with the opening of an exhibition, and Saturday was a day for cycling routes, art workshops, but also the construction of a giant straw bicycle by artist Nikola Faller.
Visitors can expect a whole range of events throughout Karlovac County during the festival which ends on 13 September.
