The Croatian Tourist Board is actively working on the promotion and positioning of Croatia as a high-quality and attractive destination for business, or MICE tourism, reports htz.hr.
Thus, in cooperation with the Croatian Tourist Board Congress Department and the Croatian Tourist Board Representative Office in France, a specialized MICE workshop was successfully organized, which was held in the attractive space of Les salons Hoche.
The goal of the workshop was the establishment of business cooperation of Croatian and French tourist entities, so the maximum number of Croatian entities responded to the workshop, including numerous specialized DMC agencies, as well as numerous hotel chains.
“The advantage of business tourism is that trips take place throughout the year, and the consumption of such guests is two or more times higher. We should also not forget the transfer of knowledge as a product of numerous business meetings and the very frequent use of premium offers and services. Croatian congress destinations have a very developed infrastructure for small and medium-sized business gatherings, and almost all Croatian destinations are ideal for travel incentives.” – said Danijela Mihalić Đurica, director of the Croatian Tourist Board Representative Office in France.
In addition to a record number of Croatian participants, the workshop also attracted about 60 of the most important French agencies specialized in this segment, such as EGG, Eventteam, Overcome, Phenomene, Xplore, The blue Yellow and others.
Let’s add that in 2022, French tourists achieved almost 40 percent more arrivals and overnight stays in Croatia compared to last year, thus significantly approaching the trends from 2019.
