Potatoes in Lika are so good that UNESCO accepted them as one of the best in the world. Therefore, they are an indispensable part of the menu in every Lika restaurant or home. In addition to kruppira, cabbage is also used a lot in Lika cuisine. Therefore, we bring you a local recipe that will delight you.

Ingredients:

– 3 tablespoons of oil
– 2 onions
– 2 cloves of garlic
– 1 whole cabbage
– spices: vegeta, chilli, pepper, salt, parsley and basil

Preparation

1. Finely chop the onion and fry in oil. Add diced cabbage and spices. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes – until the cabbage relaxes. Do not pour water.
2. Cut the potatoes into cubes and boil them in salted water. Drain and add to the cabbage.

Serving

Serve with some meat. Braised chicken would be a great choice.
